Hi there! I guess you are wondering who I am and what I am going to do. My name is Lilyana and I speak English, Bulgarian, Chinese, Spanish and Polish. What I am going to do is to show you how I have learnt them and to help you do it as well. And before you frown your eyebrows skeptically you should know a few things about me.

I was not born with some special gift for learning languages as I had spent 14 years studying English and I still could not speak it fluently. What is more, I studied French for 3 years and German for two and I do not remember almost a single word in these languages.

The things changed when I started learning Chinese and I went to China. There, for the first time in my life I was learning with joy and interest. Thus I advanced quite fast and became almost fluent after a few months. The best part was last year when I learnt Spanish in 8 months. Without any teachers, books or lessons. How did I do it? I found a few techniques and methods that have worked amazingly for me.

In the next videos I will be sharing them with you. I will start by making videos where I will be explaining the meaning of a short text using body language, mimes, facial expression and simple words in the target language. I believe this to be a quite effective way of learning languages. Why?

First of all, because you can hear and see the words used in context. Second, you can get the meaning yourself, simply by watching and listening to the explanation in the target language. Lastly, you are relaxed, calm and able to reveal the potential of your subconscious mind.

Here is a link to my website www.languageinspiration.com where I publish free Chinese lessons. On this page you will also find articles about China and the current educational system.

On my facebook page www.facebook.com/LanguageInspirationBlog/ you will find information about the newest articles and videos.

Wait for the next video and until then smile and have fun while learning languages.
