Dyno numbers are cool and all, but what about the drivability aspect of a supercharger kit? We recently installed the new 3.0L Gen 5 Whipple Supercharger kit on our 2018 Mustang GT and tuned it with Whipple's Factory calibration. Not only did the car make over 700rwhp, but it retained the 2018s smooth ride. Ride along with Jared as he provides an in depth look at what comes with the Whipple setup, the tuning aspect and how the car handles daily driving on the street. More than just a mid-cycle refresh, the 2018 Ford Mustang GT comes to us with 460 hp / 420 lb-ft of torque and a 0-60 time of just 4.3-seconds. A new 10-speed automatic transmission option is available (if you don't like banging gears) along with some slick interior enhancements. We had a chance to flog one through the canyons of Malibu, CA and came away thoroughly impressed. Is it a Camaro killer? Well, we’re not sure yet, but we do know it’s capable of putting the hurt on cars costing thousands more!
We get our hands on a 6-speed manual Ford Mustang GT V8 with the latest revisions and drive it on our favourite challenging road. What a beast and what a sound. Watch this and turn up the volume!
