This is the Michelin 3D Printed Airless Tire, made from biodegradable materials. Unlike traditional pressurized tires, the 3D printed prototype doesn’t need to be inflated. Instead, the Concept tire uses a honeycomb pattern based on generative design models found in nature, such as coral and the air sacs in human lungs. This design diminishes the risk of a blowout or flats due to punctures. Generative design mimics nature’s evolutionary approach to design. Designers or engineers input design goals into generative design software, along with parameters such as materials, manufacturing methods, and cost constraints. Then, using cloud computing, the software explores all the possible permutations of a solution, quickly generating design alternatives. It tests and learns from each iteration what works and what doesn’t. With generative design, there is no single solution; instead, there are potentially thousands of great solutions. You choose the design that best fits your needs. Camoplast tracks are the way to go check it out. Why would you go with any other brand. These tracks so far have been the most durable and relayble. Easy to install and easy removal. Why wouldnt you pic Camplast.
Just picked up my BRP Apache Backcountry Tracks today & began the install. This video is an initial comparison video of the Camso 4S Tracks I've been running for 9 years and the New BRP Apache Backcountry Tracks. These tracks are BAD TO THE BONE !!! I'll be doing another video of the track bracket installs along with some of things I've done in preparation for running the Backcountry Tracks. I'll have to wait for a while until we get some snow to get some riding videos of them & my first impressions of them out on the snow. So Stay Tuned. Hope you Enjoy This Video.
You rely on your all-terrain vehicle (ATV) or side-by-side (SxS) to go where you want and get the job done. But no matter how rugged your machine is, deep snow, serious mud, and swampy terrain may be too much for your wheels to handle. Now you can take your vehicle’s performance to the next level with a four-season track system that will never let you down.
Michelin to Acquire Farm-Tire Maker Camso for $1.45 Billion
Michelin agreed to buy Camso, a Canadian producer of rubber tracks for farm equipment and snowmobiles, for $1.45 billion as the French tiremaker bolsters its specialty-equipment business. The two companies’ off-road operations will be combined and run from Camso’s headquarters in Magog, Quebec, Michelin said in a statement Thursday. Closely held Camso, which also makes tires for material-handling equipment, has sales of $1 billion. “This acquisition is a wonderful mutual opportunity,” Michelin C...
