This video represents some of the most common dangerous situations at the Nürburgring, like: - Standing at dangerous places on track - Overtaking on the wrong side (during TF) - Ignoring yellow flags - Debris on track Keep in mind that it is illegal to overtake on the right during Touristenfahrten. There is no trophy at the end of a TF lap, so there is no need for laprecord attemps. Always be aware about other (slower or less experienced) drivers around you. (Bikers, check your mirrors too!) If your car breaks down or if you crash, make sure to get behind the safety barrier as soon as possible. If it is not safe to get out of the car, stay in the car until the marshalls arrive. --- And as always, thank you very much for watching! Through the Green Hell at 369 km/h: Experience the fastest lap ever driven on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. 5:19.546 on the stopwatch Timo Bernhard (37, Germany) crossed the finish line of the Nürburgring-Nordschleife this morning at the wheel of the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo. With this achievement, the two-times Le Mans winner has beaten the lap record on the revered 20.832 kilometre long German race circuit that stood for 35 years. On May 28 in 1983, Stefan Bellof lapped the world-renowned track with a Porsche 956 C in a legendary time of 6:11.13 minutes. Experience the myth: nuerburgring.de
Brand Ambassadors Maria Sharapova and Mark Webber arranged to meet for a special form of speed dating at the Porsche Development Center in Weissach.
Fuel empty for the driver, so he took the exit at Adenau unfortunately :-( He was always in my mirror from the beginning, that vette is so fast!
https://www.instagram.com/andrewhurstphoto Incredible lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife that I did with the very talented Porsche factory race driver Le Mans winner Kevin Estre, in the new Porsche Weissach 991.2 GT3 RS. Identical car and tyres used by Kevin on his record n/a 6:56 lap, with suspension set up for the Nordschleife by the race team. This car was loaned for the day by the Porsche factory to raise money for @dusportetplus charity at the Manthey Racing trackday. Stability control was switched off during the lap, but traction control was left on to save rear tyre wear. After Flugplatz we hit a top speed of 275km/h 171mph - some 3km/h faster at the same point than his record 6:56 lap. Thanks to Kevin for organising and the amazing driving!
Porsche set a new record for road-approved sports cars on the 20.6-kilometre Nürburgring Nordschleife in the 911 GT2 RS on September 20. The record time of 6 minutes and 47.3 seconds was achieved in the presence of a notary and surpassed even Porsche’s own expectations. Watch the full onbard footage.
